Tulum = jungle, cenotes, nomads, slow pace. Playa = beach, 5th Avenue, nightlife, city energy. Can't decide? Stay at both — we have a hostel in each.
November–April for dry season and perfect weather. May–October is cheaper, quieter, and the jungle is at its most beautiful.
Gran Cenote, Dos Ojos, Calavera. Skip the tourist strip ones. Ask us on arrival — we'll point you to where locals actually swim.
Around $40–55 USD/day covers bed, food, transport and an activity. Book direct with us, eat local markets, use colectivos — that's how you do it right.
One of the best setups in Latin America. La Veleta in Tulum and central Playa del Carmen both have strong nomad communities. Our coworking spaces and fiber WiFi are included in your stay.
Rent a bike on day one. Use our free beach shuttle instead of paying beach clubs. Book cenotes for 7am before the tour groups arrive.
Travelers from all over the world choose Maui Hostel. Discover why.
